“Epilepsy is the most common neurological disorder in children, often causing damage to the developing brain and causing premature loss of life. Sadly, public perception is that epilepsy is a benign condition that is easily treated, and this is why research efforts have lagged far behind where they should be, given the prevalence and devastation of epilepsy. I applaud the Leyden family for their courage in sharing their personal story. I know that by doing so they will help to raise awareness of the
millions of other families who are also desperately seeking answers for their children.”

Wings of Hope Pictures

To all of our social butterflies…last Friday night we celebrated a new beginnning at the American Epilepsy Outreach Foundation’s First Annual Wings of Hope Benefit.  We had hundreds of guests along with our National Spokesperson Hunter Tylo and a very funny comedian from Chicago, Patti Vazquez.   The night was filled with new and old friends, laughter, tears, good weather, food, music, and a promise to change the face of Epilepsy.  We could not have been in better company.  Thank you all for coming out to support AEOF and our mission to increase public awareness and support those living with Epilepsy.  You make all the difference.   Click the link below to see pictures from the event.    http://scottbuxtin.instaproofs.com/enterEvent.php?id=55228
